The Figurative Sea, Fisherman, Net, Fish and Ship

[1] The Figurative Sea

⏵ Physical characteristics : where many waters are gathered, where many different kinds of fish live, and people cannot drink it.

1) Who lives in the sea?

Ps 74:13-14	sea : crushing the heads of the dragon and the Leviathan
Is 27:1	in that day : sea → slaying the serpent and dragon (exegesis : leviathan)
Rv 12:9	dragon = serpent = devil = satan : the one who leads the whole world astray

the true identity of the dragon and the serpent is Satan, the devil. The figurative sea refers to the spiritual sea where Satan, the devil, lives.

2) What is the sea?

the world of false truth where many people gather, and that the false pastors, prostitutes, rule over.

Dan 7:3	in a vision (dream) : sea → four great beasts came up
Dan 7:17	interpretation : earth → four kingdoms rise from the earth
Rv 17:1, 15

◾ sea : the world of false truth that Satan rules over

◾ sea water : untruth of Satan

▮ The meaning of many people gathering ⇒ a great crowd

⏵ many waters (sea) ⇒ figuratively expressed as people (people, multitudes, nations, and languages).

3) The physical entity of the sea

Eze 47:8-9

(spiritual) Sea at the time of Jesus’ first coming

Mt 23:33

pharisees and teachers of law = snake (the world that the Pharisees rule over) Judaism = sea

▮ Healing the (spiritual) sea at the time of Jesus’ first coming

to have Judaism full of lies healed, and to make their dead souls come to life and be reborn through the truth, the word of life, which Jesus testified.

Rv 22:1-2	from the throne of God and of the Lamb : the river of the water of life → healing of the nations
Rv 17:1-5	great prostitute = Babylon
Rv 18:2-3	Babylon : maddening wine of adulteries → all the nations have fallen

⏵ all nations : the world of corrupt Christianity, and further, the world in which people do not believe in God.

▮ Healing the (spiritual) sea at the time of Jesus’ second coming

As the river of the water of life is flowing from the throne of God, it heals all nations that are fallen and deceived by the maddening wine of the great prostitute’s adulteries (lies and commentaries).

    Spiritual meanings : pastor → the word → people → church (heaven in the physical realm)

Hab 1:14-15	person = fish, net = the word
Rv 18:17-18	ship = church captain = pastor sailor = evangelist (staff members of church) passenger = congregation members of church

heaven = sea : all kinds of fish → net good fish : sorted into baskets (heaven) bad fish : thrown away into the sea

⏵ how the nations that are like the sea are healed is explained as the fisherman who lets down the net, catches fish, and collects them in a ship.

◾ Good fish : he righteous who understands the word of heaven, believes it, and are obedient.

◾ The meaning of sorting good fish in baskets : to evangelize the believers and make them come out to Church where God’s pastor is.

◾ The meaning of bad fish being thrown away : those who hear the word of heaven but do not understand it, do not believe it, and do evil are thrown away into the world of Satan.

∴ Believing in God does not mean that all have salvation from God.

▮ Where is the ark of salvation?

◾ Rv 3:21 where the one who overcomes is. He sits with Jesus on Jesus’ thrown and sits down with God on God’s throne

◾ Rv 15:2-5 tabernacle of the testimony

▮ How can we get there?

◾ Rv 22:16 anyone who understands the revealed word of fulfillment of the New Testament, testified by the messenger of Jesus who He sent, they can go there.

“For the earth will be filled with

the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,

as the waters cover the sea”

which means that the word becomes flesh (Hb 2:14)

⇒ this is what the healing of the nations truly means.
