the sign of the Lord’s coming and the end of the age the abomination of desolation → the holy place → flee to the mountains

Q) What is the true entity of the Figurative mountain?

A) A church (a city where people gather)

[1] The Figurative Mountain

▷ The physical characteristics of the mountain

the place where plenty of soil and stones are collected

the place where many trees and animals dwell.

Ps 68:16	mountains with many peaks : envious of the mountains where God dwells
Zech 8:3	God : return to Zion
Jl 3:18	the mountains → sweet wine and milk flow out the word (wine, milk), which is the spiritual food, is testified on the spiritual mountain (temple and church)
Is 2:2	the mountain = the house of the Lord (temple 殿) → the Word comes from mountain of the Lord

∴ The spiritual mountain = the church (the city where people gather)

 

[2] Classifying the Figurative Mountain (the book of prophecy)

▷ The prophecy is the promise to save, but the work of salvation occurs after the events of the betrayal and of the destruction.

2 Thes 2:1-3

the betrayal → the destruction → the salvation

1) The mountain that refers figuratively to the organization of the betrayers (belong go God → belong to the Satan)

Eze 36:1-4

the mountains of the Israel : the everlasting heights → became the enemy’s possession

e.g.

- in the time of Genesis : the Garden of Eden (the mountain of betrayal)

- at the First Coming : the chosen people of Israel who followed lies (the mountain of betrayal)

Rv 6:14	every mountain was moved out of its place (belong to God → belong to the Satan)
Rv 8:8	a great mountain burning with fire → the sea
Rv 1, 2, 3	the seven messengers of the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands → fall from the hand of Jesus (betray)

∴ The mountain of betrayal at the Second Coming = the tabernacle of the golden lampstand where the seven stars are.

2) The mountain that represents figuratively the organization of the destroyers (belong to the Satan)

Jer 51:25

the mountain of destruction (=Babylon) → destroyed the whole world

■ What is the wine of Babylon? □  Rv 18:2-3 Babylon : all the nations are destroyed with the wine of the passion of the immorality ▷ sorcery : to practice divination by adding his own thoughts to the Bible, which is the commentary ∴ the true entity of the wine of the immorality = commentaries

 

The true entity of the mountain of destruction at the First Coming = the organization of the Scribes and Pharisees

(the word of the Bible + their own nation → preach lies)

Rv 17:1-9

Babylon : the organization of the beast with seven heads and ten horns

The true entity of the mountain of destruction at the Second Coming = the church where lies are taught

Rv 14:1	the Lamb : on Mount Zion
Ps 132:13-14	God → Mt. Zion : resting place (eternal life)

the blessing that the Lord will give on the mountains of Zion : eternal life

Is 25:6-8	the mountain : God will hold the banquet with choicest meat and aged wine promised to swallow up death on this mountain
Jer 3:14-15	from a city and from a family → bring you to Zion
Rv 18:4	call those who dwell in Babylon ▷ in the last day, there is the work of calling God’s people, who dwell on the mountain of destruction, and guiding them to Zion
Is 2:2-3	in the last days : Mt. Zion → all the nations will stream to it because the word of the Lord comes,
▷ Mt. Zion : the temple composed of the twelve tribes (Rv 7, Rv 14)

■ The true entity of Mount Zion

- where God and Jesus dwell

- where the blessing of eternal life comes

- where Jesus who is Zion and the word of the truth are

- where the promised pastor and the twelve tribes are

- the temple which believers of today should surely go.
