The quarantine authorities announced on 3rd that 4,000 members of Shincheonji church have agreed to cooperate with plasma donation for the development of plasma treatment. 

Kwon Joon Wook, vice head of Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said in a regular briefing that day, "A total of 2798 congregations of Shincheonji church has indicated their intention to participate in plasma donation through collective donation twice. Among them, 2030 members donated plasma."

In addition, he added "Thank you to Shincheonji for actively participating in plasma donation. Also, I am deeply grateful for the cooperation of the Korean Red Cross and Daegu City."

In August ~ September, for development of blood system drugs, when the letter was sent from Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency stating that plasma from those recovered from corona 19 is needed, Shincheonji encouraged congregations through the letter of Chairman Lee to cooperate donating plasma. 

When the 3rd plasma donation is completed, more than 5,000 congregation members in Shincheonji alone will help donate plasma. 

An official from Shincheonji church said "The members of 12 Shincheonji tribes decided to actively cooperate with the government policy until the time when corona 19 disappears worshiping online which is differentiated from other churches to combat corona 19. We are actively cooperating with local quarantine activities as well."

Meanwhile, Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency reported that Remdesivir, a treatment for severely ill patients, was supplied to 720 patients in 65 hospitals as of 4 pm on 2nd. Recovery plasma of the recovered has been transfused to 47 patients so far at 8 medical institutions.
