Shincheonji Volunteer Corps, Seoul Eastern Branch, conducts regular Corona virus quarantine service around small business districts
Shincheonji Volunteer Seoul Eastern branch held a quarantine volunteer service every week for small business owners who are experiencing a hard time due to COVID19.
Quarantine volunteer service which was started from September last year is carried out for 77 places around Sang Gye & Jung Gye Dong and was held 383 times as of July.
The vast majority of small business owners feel the cost of quarantine is a burden since the number of customers has dropped significantly due to social distancing. About this, Shincheonji volunteer carried out quarantine volunteer work to help local business owners as a part of social responsibility.
A small local businessman said "I was worried that the coronavirus would keep me out of business and put on a lot of quarantine costs. Thank you for your continuous quarantine service. Thank you for your service in a quarantine suit in the hot weather."
Volunteers who participated in the quarantine service expressed their feelings saying "I was proud that I could do small things to prevent the spread of coronavirus. It was more rewarding because small business owners resolved misunderstandings against Shincheonji and welcomed us with a friendly attitude."
Yoo Young Joo, a head of Shincheonji volunteer Seoul Eastern branch, said "When state 4 of social distancing in metropolitan area with more strict quarantine control, we would like help to our community as a quarantine service spreading good influence of volunteers so that we can overcome COVID together."
