◆ Explanation to figurative answer

1. Figurative Sea = World

■ Parable verse : Matthew 13:47-50

 ※ Physical characteristic : A place where a lot of water is gathered, drinking water X

■ Daniel 7:2-3, 17 Sea → four beast

                               World            four kingdoms

■ Isaiah 27:1 God : In that day → dragon in the sea : punish

■ Rev. 20:2 dragon = ancient serpent = devil = Satan

■ Psalm 74:13-14 sea → split

Heads of the monster → crushed the heads

  

■ The true meaning of the figurative sea : World, Satan is ruling over

 

■ Rev. 13:1-2 Beast comes up out of the sea : the beast has 7 heads and 10 horns

■  Rev. 17:1 a prostitute : who seats on many waters

                                        False pastor                                            people, multitude, nation, languages(:15)

※ Main Points 

① Sea ⇒ World where words or doctrines are mixed  

② Sea water we shouldn’t drink ⇒ false teaching of Satan

2. Figurative Fishermen, Net, Fish = Shepherd(Evangelist), Word of God, Person who is living in the world

                                                    Work of guiding shepherd(Evangelist)   Spiritual fish

■ Habakkuk 1:14-17 Men = fish of the sea

■ Matthew 13:47-48 

   a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish

3. Figurative Ship = Church

■ Genesis 7:1 Noah's ark - Flood, 8 people of Noah’s family in the ark

■ Matthew 24:37-39 Jesus at the Second Coming = the time of Noah

■ Rev. 8:8-9 ⅓ of the ships are destroyed

4. Figurative Sea Captain, Sailor, passenger = Shepherd, people with duty helping shepherd, people who go to church

■ Parable verse Rev. 18:17-19

▶ Two types of sea in the Bible 

God’s Sea	Satan’s Sea
Sea of glass in front of God’s throne (Rev. 4:6)	Sea, dragon is ruling over (Isaiah 27:1)

5. Sea of Glass of God = The word of God that is flawless

■ Parable verse : Rev. 4:6 In front of God → Sea of glass 

6. The sea must be healed

1. The fishermen drew to shore what was caught and sat down and gathered the good into the vessels but threw the bad away into the sea.

2. We are the saints who have been guided by the word like a net. We must be completely born again to become a good fish that can be contained in God’s vessel. And, together put forth the effort to be qualified.
