[Shincheonji Doctrine Comparison] John 4:14 What is the spring of water that springs up to eternal life?

John 4:14 What is the spring of water that springs up to eternal life?

"A spring of water springing up to eternal life, the word of God given by Jesus"

[Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony]

Let's find out about the spiritual water logically spoken by Jesus. First of all, water is very important because it is essential for humans and to sustain life. In the time of Moses, God quenched their thirst by providing water from a rock for the people who had left Egypt. The events of Moses were a copy and shadow of things to come.

1 Corinthians 10:4 says that the rock was Christ. Like water comes from a rock, the word of God came out of the mouth of Jesus, satisfying the thirst of the soul and giving life. In Deuteronomy 32:2, the word of God is compared to rain and dew, which give life to grass and vegetables (Isaiah 5:7, Isaiah 40:7). In Amos 8:11, God says 'I will send a famine through the land - not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord'. The water that God and Jesus wanted to give to the people that was never thirsty was the word of life that our souls should drink.

In Isaiah 55:1, Jesus tells those who are thirsty to come to the water and buy wine and milk without money and without cost. And in verse 3, He says, “Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. These days, how can we buy water and food without money? Just as our body needs to drink water to live, our thirsty soul lives when we hear the word of God. And to give the word of life that saves souls, given without money, is because nothing in the world can put a price on it.

In the Bible, the word is water, and the shepherd who preaches the word is compared to a spring of water, and the evangelists who believe and preach the word of the shepherd are compared to a river where the water flows.

In John 7:37-38, 'whoever believes in me will flow rivers of living water out of the belly' means that if you hear the word of God preached by Jesus, you too will become a river that preaches the word.

Therefore, Jesus in the text became a shepherd like a spring and delivered the word of God, the water that never thirsts, to the Samaritan woman, and the woman who heard the word became an evangelist like a river and went to the town to convey the word to the people.

This word about this water is not only applicable to the First Coming, but is also mentioned in Matthew 24, which prophesies the time of the Lord's return.

Matthew 24 prophesied about the time of the Lord's return and the signs of the last days. Matthew 24:7 speaks of famines and earthquakes in various places in the last days. So, when everyone is thirsty, it is prophesied in Revelation 22:16-17 that the messengers sent by Jesus for the churches, the Holy Spirit and the Bride, will come and give the water of life without cost to those who are thirsty. These words are given to us who are living in the time of Revelation today. Therefore, we must meet the shepherd who gives us the water of life and drink it to achieve eternal life and salvation.

In Revelation chapter 5, which prophesied the time of the end, it is said that the word of God is sealed and no one in heaven or on earth can open or see the scroll. When no one hears the words of true word of revelation and the one is taught by human thoughts, this is a spiritual famine. However, God gave Jesus the sealed book of Revelation 5 to open it, and then in Revelation 10, Jesus gave it to the angel so that John could eat it. This open word is the water of life we must drink.

Today, in Shincheonji, there is a promised shepherd who receives and eats the book of revelation that has been opened according to the prophecy of the Book of Revelation. He has become the throne of God and Jesus according to the words of Revelation 22:1-2, and is delivering the water of life, the word of life, without cost. The saints living in the last days should come to the promised shepherd sent by Jesus and listen to the word of life to quench their thirst and gain life.

"Physical water delivered by water companies, we drink, wash dishes and even cook rice"

[Existing denomination Presbyterian Pastor A]

Now, if you drink the water given by Jesus, you will never be thirsty. (In the past) We went to get water, but now the water company delivers water every day. How nice it is to drink water, wash the dishes, and cook rice. Now, we don't have to go to that damn place to get water. We don't have to go to the well. Every day I went to the well to earn my living and quench my thirst, but going to the well was the woman's greatest pain.
