Shincheonji's words to listen to with your family... "This is the truth,"
It's been 13 years already. It has already been 13 years since Mrs. A, who had practiced a faith in another existing church, overcame the crisis of faith and became a member at Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Mrs. A, who experienced the corruption of the pastor of the church she had attended, thought of the past saying, “With a feeling of betrayal, skepticism about my faith that I have been keeping over the years has come. It was a time when I was looking for the Word, contemplating whether or not to stop practicing the faith.” The reason why Mrs. A was able to continue her faith was because she started studying the Bible at Shincheonji Church through Mrs. B, the best friend living next door who was closer than her sibling .
For Mrs. A, Shincheonji Church is a place that has resolved her curiosity about the Word, which could not be cleared up in any other places. She has listened to sermons and meditated on the Bible, but the answers to questions were not answered nor found. But, she was able to find the answers in the Bible. As the curriculum progressed, Mrs. A became more convinced that 'These words are true'. However, not all periods of taking the course were a bed of roses.
While Mrs. A was taking the intermediate course at the Shincheonji Church's Zion Christion Mission Center, she found out that her husband noticed her listening to the words of the Shincheonji Church. Her husband never experienced the word of Shincheonji and had a prejudice. He said "There must be a reason why people hate them. I don't like my wife going there being criticized." He tried to talk her down and even persecuted.
"But I thought I couldn’t stop because I knew I had met the truth.”
Her earnestness made her do a good deed in front of her family. She said, "First, I earnestly prayed to God so that my husband's heart could be opened, and I tried to be more devoted to my family than before, and took care of children and family events. I wanted to tell my husband that Shincheonji church is not a church like rumor, and I hoped that my husband understood me, even if he can't approve of me.” Her earnestness continued without stopping for 12 years.
The time when her faith was recognized by her family was during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was unexpected. Unlike other churches, which made the people anxious by conducting face-to-face service confronting the government over quarantine measures, Shincheonji church cooperated with the government when dealing with the COVID-19. It was exemplary. It started to change awareness of her family against Shincheonji church. Afterwards, her husband expressed his thoughts to Mrs. A, saying, "It seems that the people of the Shincheonji Church are much more proper."
Mrs. A, who has kept her family and faith with an unchanging image, said, “Now, my husband, who is curious about the Word of Shincheonji, is taking the course at the Zion Christian Mission Center. I thank God.”
