Shincheonji Volunteer Chungju Branch, having time to understand and
communicate with people with disabilities through 'five senses travel'!

On the 10th, the Shincheonji Volunteer Chungju Branch held a 'Door2Door Healthcare' in Danyang-gun. The 9th 'Door2Door Healthcare' is a experience program of 'five senses travel' that presents emotion and hope. This event is aimed at people with disabilities.

Total of 27 people attended the event, including members of the Korea Transportation Disabled Association, Shincheonji Volunteer medical team, sports coaches, transportation protocol team, and volunteers for the disabled. Participants in this event participated in cruise ship, epicurism, sports activities, and pottery craft experience.

'Door2Door Healthcare' provides free medical services to foreign workers, elderly people living alone, and the underprivileged. Its purpose is to help neighbors in the medical blind spot. In particular, since last year, they have been implementing a travel program for the disabled who need a helping hand because it is not easy for them to do outside activities. The purpose of this program is to break down the barriers between disabled and non-disabled people, communicate and empathize with each other, and overcome physical and mental disabilities together.

Trips Cruise for visual and auditory, cup making for tactile, and mini-soccer and badminton matches for physical activities were provided. Here is the reactions of the members and officials who attended the event.

Member: “We only went on a trip, but did not experience anything else because of the perception that we were disabled. But on today’s trip, we were able to do everything we wanted to do and it was like going back to being children”

Member: "I've been to many places, but this is the first place to prepare such a systematic program. I'm happy to be able to demonstrate my skills through sports activities, and it's an honor to receive the MVP award."

Officials: “We are very moved by seeing all the members of the Association for the Disabled having so much fun and actively participating in all programs. We will prepare various programs and continue to create time to become one with members of society.

Shincheonji Volunteer Chungju Branch is serving our neighbors through various volunteer services such as 'Wall Painting Stories with hope', 'Love for all nations & Sharing of peace', 'Good Consumption, Good Donation Campaign' and 'The More The Better Program'.
