Shincheonji Volunteer Gwacheon Branch, environmental cleaning service in Byeoryang-dong

On the 23rd, the Gwacheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer held a volunteer activity called 'Protect the green nature' in Byeoryang-dong, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. 'Protect the green nature' is an environmental cleanup volunteer activity. This environmental cleanup activity led to street cleaning due to the lack of management of smoking areas near the shopping mall, resulting in more cigarette butts and garbage.

20 volunteers from the Gwacheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer participated in this volunteer activity. Volunteers went around shopping malls and alleys to collect cigarette butts and various residential wastes, and the amount was about 300 liters. In addition, a campaign to promote right smoking culture was also conducted. This campaign is for both smokers and non-smokers. 

'Protect the green nature' is one of the regular volunteer services of the Shincheonji Volunteer. Activities of 'Protect the gree nature' include wetland preservation activities, disaster recovery activities, and public interest campaigns. This service began with the intention of preserving the environment so that we can pass on the beautiful nature to the next generation. 

I, who is writing this blog, am trying to reduce the use of disposable cups and especially not using plastic straws to help the environment. I hope that each of us will contribute to preserving the environment even if it is small thing.
