[Shincheonji Bible Seminar] A Major Shift in the Christian community?
Surge in Pastors Seeking to Verify Shincheonji's Teachings

▎ Follow-up Education Requests Continue… Pastors Deeply Impressed by Lectures Revealing Revelation
▎ Voices of Self-reflection Arise: “We Must Verify the Word Before Labeling as a Cult”

The Bible Seminar, ‘Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation’, hosted by Shincheonji Jesus Church of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Lee Man-hee; hereafter Shincheonji Jesus Church), was successfully held on May 17 at the Shincheonji Peace Training Center in Cheongpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. Originally planned for 200 participants, the event’s venue was changed to an outdoor location after more than 500 pastors registered. This marks a significant movement in the Christian community, as pastors who had previously held prejudices against Shincheonji as a cult now visit in person to verify its teachings.

This seminar, the second of its kind this year, followed a similar event in January in Cheongju, Chungbuk, which drew over 700 pastors and made a strong impact. The gathering was arranged in response to numerous spontaneous requests for follow-up lectures. Observers noted the serious atmosphere among attendees, who displayed a deep thirst for the Word and a desire to find practical answers regarding the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation.

At the event, Chairman Man Hee Lee shared the story of how he began his faith journey and, despite lacking formal theological education, came to witness the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation, which compelled him to preach the gospel. He carefully presented evidence for the prophecies in Revelation and its fulfillment.

Chairman Lee emphasized, “Everyone wants to go to heaven and gain eternal life, but Revelation warns that if you added to or took away from the book of Revelation, one cannot enter heaven and will face curses (Revelation 22:18-19). This issue must be resolved. What I seek to do is testify to the reality of the prophecies recorded from chapters 1 to 22 of Revelation, what I have seen.”

He continued, “Let us discard pride and think objectively. We must be honest with ourselves. Above all, we must be confident that we will enter heaven. The established churches condemn Shincheonji as a cult and curse it, but does belonging to an established denomination guarantee orthodoxy? Jesus was not affiliated with any denomination in His time. We must know the Bible thoroughly. If I have said anything wrong, please point it out,” inviting pastors to openly examine his claims.

For an hour and a half, Chairman Lee tirelessly explained the prophecies and realities from Revelation chapters 1 through 22, offering comprehensive testimony on the entire book.

Many pastors in attendance expressed amazement that Chairman Lee, without formal theological training, could testify to the entire Book of Revelation without looking up the Bible. They requested follow-up education sessions.

One pastor said, “I got chills throughout the message. I want to verify if this teaching really matches the Bible. As a pastor, I have the responsibility to seek the truth for the salvation of my congregation.”

Another pastor shared, “I have served for decades but always struggled to understand certain passages. Seeing him explained logically was a huge shock. It made me fear that I had been blind until now.”

A pastor who initially labeled Shincheonji Jesus Church as a cult confessed, “After direct verification, I found that it wasn’t. The fulfillment of Revelation preached by Shincheonji aligns with Scripture. We must properly verify and acknowledge it if true. If pastors don’t do this, who will? We must not repeat the mistake of dismissing God’s works as heresy, as happened during the first coming.”

As more pastors seek to verify Shincheonji’s teachings firsthand, a shift in perception beyond existing prejudices is spreading within the church community.

A Shincheonji Jesus Church official stated, “So far, 858 domestic churches have signed MOUs for Word exchanges, and among them, 100 churches have placed the sign of Shincheonji Jesus Church. The Christian community is rapidly changing.”

Furthermore, videos of the Revelation seminar and Bible Seminar uploaded on Shincheonji’s official YouTube channel have surpassed 100 million views, indicating a growing enthusiasm for exploring the Bible’s teachings beyond mere curiosity.

Chairman Lee concluded, “There has not been a single promise of Jesus that has not been fulfilled. The Revelation events are no different — they are what Jesus promised. Let us unite in faith within the Bible, become God’s family, fulfill our mission, and be one in God.”

Shincheonji Jesus Church anticipates that regional follow-up education and Word exchange requests will become even more active after this seminar, predicting that 2025 will be a pivotal year for real change in the Korean Christian community.
