Shincheonji Yeongdeungpo Church Holds Personalized Health Promotion Campaign
On August 20th, the Bartholomew Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Tribe Leader Choi Jung-il) held a Personalized Health Promotion Campaign at Shincheonji Yeongdeungpo Church for senior members of its advisory group.
The campaign featured professional medical volunteers from the tribe’s Health and Welfare Department, who checked the participants’ health conditions and provided guidance on improving daily habits. Around 25 elderly participants took part in the program, completing health questionnaires, checking their blood pressure and glucose levels, and receiving personalized counseling on diet and lifestyle habits. The event went beyond simple checkups by offering practical advice that could lead to real improvements in participants’ daily lives.
A participant, Kwon Young-ae (78, from Sindaebang-dong), shared, “I often neglected my health because visiting the hospital felt burdensome, but I felt reassured having the church provide these checkups and consultations directly.” She added, “I’ve always been worried about my family history of diabetes, so it was helpful to correct my misunderstandings through the blood sugar test and consultation.”
A representative from the Bartholomew Tribe’s Health and Welfare Department emphasized that “health management is especially important for our elderly advisory members.” He added, “This campaign wasn’t just a one-time health check, but an opportunity for participants to reflect on their lifestyles and take steps toward healthier living.”
