Shincheonji Volunteer Group Pocheon Branch Conducts
Citizen Participation Carbon Neutrality Campaign in Sin-eup-dong

Last weekend, a hands-on environmental campaign took place in Sin-eup-dong with local citizens joining together for a meaningful cause. The event was organized to help people understand carbon neutrality in a more approachable and practical way. Instead of focusing only on information delivery, the program encouraged participants to experience eco-friendly practices firsthand. Families, children, and older residents all enjoyed taking part in the activities.

During the campaign, visitors learned simple ways to reduce carbon emissions in everyday life. Interactive quiz games and recycling activities helped make environmental education both fun and memorable. Many participants shared that the event made them think more seriously about reducing disposable waste. Eco-friendly gifts were also handed out to encourage people to continue practicing greener habits after the event.

The “Protect the Green Nature” project by the Shincheonji Volunteer Group continues to promote environmental awareness and community participation. Beyond cleanup campaigns, the group has also carried out flower road projects and disaster recovery support in local areas. This recent campaign especially highlighted how small daily actions can contribute to a healthier planet. Hopefully, more people will continue joining these efforts and make eco-friendly living a natural part of everyday life.
