Shincheonji regarding Refusal to enter treatment facilities and denial of taking coronavirus test

Shincheonji regarding Refusal
to enter treatment facilities
and denial of taking coronavirus test

According to results of investigation conducted by Shincheonji Daegu church, it has been confirmed that cases of refusing to enter treatment facilities are extremely rare. About 534 people who denied to enter treatment facilities announced by Daegu City on 7th of March, it was not refusal to enter treatment facilities. it was a delay to enter since there is no choice but delaying. Those people are the parents who were diagnosed positive as corona and couldn't leave minor children who are negative or positive as corona or were waiting for the test result alone at home so that they needed to adjust schedule to enter treatment facilities.

Shincheonji Daegu church recommended for both parents and children to enter treatment facilities as soon as the test result comes out. Shincheonji Daegu church informed all congregants that entering treatment facilities is not 'consent' but 'necessariness'. Also, there are no congregants who refused to take coronavirus test. Please understand that congregants are not following the cooperation of the health authorities. The congregants are taking steps to prepare circumstances.

On 7th of March, through special message, △ congregant who show symptoms must be tested △ congregant who are employees in medical industry, nursing homes and multi-use facilities must be tested even if there is no symptom △ all congregants must be tested even though there is no symptom were delivered to all congregants. In particular, the message mentioning that the congregants who are not tested cannot attend the service even after the coronavirus is stabilized. Shincheonji church has taken the strongest measures as much as possible as a religious organization to cooperate quarantine.

Thaddeus tribe informed all congregants on 8th of March mentioning △ AWOL of self-isolated congregant prohibited △ all congregants must be tested even through there is no symptom (Scheduling to take test voluntarily is required) △ congregants who are advised to use hospital or treatment facilities must adjust schedule and enter to the facilities. △ even if self-isolation is ended, congregants should refrain from going out for the time being. The congregants who do not follow the directions of Daegu city, local governments or health authorities or who have lost contact or who breaks self-isolation are prohibited from attending worship service even after corona crisis is stabilized. It was informed to congregants that first priority is to cooperate with the health authorities for any reason and if not, there will be a strong disciplinary action by the church.

Shincheonji church is cooperating with all requests made by health authorities. However, there are some situations and difficulties to control all congregants which is 210,000 people. There are congregants who have been out of contact since they are not attending for a long time, who are staying abroad and who are avoiding contact with church. So, there are misunderstandings. It was not true that the church doesn't cooperate. up to 9th of March, over 90% of congregants are following measure of government faithfully. There is no intended non-cooperation as the health authorities mentioned. The strong measure was taken to prohibit attending worship services if congregants are not following the cooperation of the health authorities. Shincheonji church will commit to mobilize all capabilities to end Corona19 crisis.
