Regarding Fake News about Shincheonji

Regarding Fake News about Shincheonji

1) Shincheonji church congregants are spreading Coronavirus pretending to give out masks visiting houses?

This is not true at all. The person who gives out a mask to each family in the photo floating on the internet is public official from Daegu City. Currently, Shincheonji church does not conduct any evangelism, worship or gathering.

2) Shincheonji Busan James tribe open an open house and invite citizens?

Including the event mentioned above, brochure regarding Shincheonji church was produced and distributed prior to the spread of Corona19. Shincheonji church has banned worship, gatherings and any events since 18th of Feb. We hope that there will be no confusion since materials have already been distributed in the past.

3) People can be Shincheonji congregant after receiving some education at the camp? These people educated here are trainees?

In order to become a member of Shincheonji church, people need to complete 6 month Bible study course at Zion Christian Mission Center and pass the exam so that you will be eligible to enter Shincheonji church. However, this is also your choice. The camp is not a requirement nor recommended to become a member of Shincheonji church. It is absolutely not true.

4) A video of confirmed patient escaping from isolation center and walking on the streets is on line. Is it true?

This is not true at all.

5) Coronavirus has spread more due to the special worship culture of Shincheonji church?

It is not known why there are many confirmed patients at Shincheonji church since Shincheonji church is not a health and medical organization. Some media reports that coronavirus spreads more due to the method of Shincheonji worship. There are many congregants in Shincheonji church. We worship sitting on the floor rather than sitting in the chair. However, We keeps a certain space between seats and those space is more apart compared to other churches and is free to move. Only thing is there are little differences since there are more congregants in the church the space may be little narrower. Otherwise, there are less congregants in the church the space may be more widened.

In addition, since last January, if people have symptoms of cold, cough and fever were advised not to attend the worship service. And, masks were recommended during worship. There is no reason to blame the method of worship of Shincheonji church causing collective infection.

6) Since Shincheonji church doesn't tolerate sickness, congregants hide the sick and attend the service?

It is absolutely not true. Shincheonji church does not take sickness as a sin. If people are sick, they take a break and go to the hospital for treatment. Even if it difficult to attend the service due to sick, business trip, family affairs, there are no disadvantages. Worship is personal faith.
