Jesus → The Jews

The appearance of the earth and the sky: know how to interpret.

This present time: don’t know how to interpret.

 

[1] Dividing the Eras in the Bible (8 Eras)

- Before Jesus came: the era of the Old Testament

- After Jesus came: the era of the New Testament

1) The era of Genesis

The era where God did the work of creation through Adam.

However, since he ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and sinned, God left.

‣ Noah

God chose Noah (the 9^th generation from Adam) and judged the wrong things with a flood.

‣ Abraham (the 10^th generation from Noah)

God chose Abraham and made a covenant with him (Gn 15:13-16)

2) The era of Exodus and the law

The era where the Israelites came out of Egypt through Moses, received the laws, and kept them.

 

3) The era of the judges

The era where God’s chosen people who came out of Egypt entered the land of Canaan and God worked through the judges.

e.g. Gideon, Samson.

 

4) The era of the kings

The era where the Israelites asked God, the King of kings, to give them a king even though God was with them; so they were ruled by kings (Saul – David – Solomon).

 

5) The era of the prophets

The era where God left the Israelites because they committed sin (1Kg 11) and prophesied the future events through the prophets.

 

6) The era of the gospel of heaven

the era where Jesus came on this earth according to the promises prophesied through the prophets and preached the gospel of heaven.

 

7) The era of the epistles (letters)

The era where Jesus’ disciples sent the epistles to preach the gospel.

 

8) The era of re-creation and revelation

The era where Jesus comes back again and completes all the things in Revelation by sending his messenger (Rv 22:16).

■ Summary of Key Points The things were must know through this lesson ① What kind of eras are in the Bible? ② What kind of era is today? ③ What kind of actions are needed to become a believer that fits today’s era?   At the time of Noah: Getting on the ark of Noah → It was the action of a believer that corresponded that era.   At the time of Moses: Coming out of Egypt following Moses → It was the action of a believer that corresponded that era.   At the First Coming: Coming before Jesus even though you believed in God and kept the laws → It was the action of a believer that corresponded that era.   Today; If today is the era of re-creation and revelation → Realizing the worlds of Revelation is the action of a believer that corresponds to this era.   Then how can we understand the book of Revelation?   Rv 22:16 Jesus ⇒ He sent his messenger to give testimony for the churches   At that time when Jesus sends his messenger to testify all things in Revelation, we have to become believers who understand the words of testimony well.
