[1] What is parable in the bible, and what does it really
mean?
1) What is a parable in the Bible (prophecy)?
using something else with similar
characteristics to describe the reality God is saying He will fulfill in the
future.
2) What is being shown through the parable?
kingdom of heaven
(secret) that God will show
[2] Why Jesus spoke in parables
1) to hide the secrets of the kingdom of heaven from the enemies
(Mt 13:10-13)
2) to fulfill the words (Ps 78:2) of the Old Testament prophets (Mt
13:34-35)
[3] What happens to those who do not perceive the
parables?
they do not receive
atonement for their sins and end up in hell.
Mk 4:10-12
[4] When do we see the true entity of the secrets of
heaven, which were prophesied in parables?
when the prophecies are
fulfilled
Jn 14:29 reason for prophecy; so that when
it happens (fulfillment of prophecies), you will believe.
Jn 16:25 a time is coming when I will no
longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly.
Jn 1:14 word<prophecy> ⇒ flesh (fulfilled reality) <Jesus>
‣ It is important to
believe in the fulfilled reality of the prophecies
when the prophecies are fulfilled, and the fulfilled reality should be the standards
of your faith.
[5] Parables and fulfillment
‣ When the promised time
comes, the gospel of the revealed fulfilled reality if testified.
[6] The
distinction between “you” and “they”, and the outcomes (Mt 13:10-13)
- secrets of the kingdom of heaven: result of you, who
have been allowed – heaven, salvation
- secrets of the kingdom of heaven: result of they, who
have not been allowed – no atonement for sins, judgement, cursed.
