Heaven: a mustard seed which a man took and planted in his field.


Q. What are the true meanings of the figurative seed and field?


  1. Figurative seed = The Word

Figurative Field = ① A person’s heart ② Church


[1] Figurative Seed: the Word


⏵The importance of the figurative seed

■  Mk 4:13 The parable of the seed: the basis of all the parables.


⏵Physical characteristics of the seed

① The origin of life of all living things

② You reap what you sow (hereditary characteristics)


1) The true meaning of the figurative seed


Lk 8:11 Seed = The word

Mk 4:14 The farmer sows the Word

1 Pet 1:23 Imperishable seed = The living and enduring Word of God


Born again through the Word of the seed.


∴ True meaning of the figurative seed = The word.


▮ Why is the Word figuratively described as the seed? (Jn 1:1-4)


(Like there is life in the physical seed) There is also life within the spiritual seed, the Word.


2) Types of figurative seeds

⏵ Types of physical seeds: countless
⏵ Types of spiritual seeds: God’s seed (God’s Word) and Satan’s seed (Satan’s word).
(As there are two kinds of spirits → there are also two kinds of spiritual seeds.)

3) The importance of the figurative seed

Whichever seed I am born with determines if I am god’s child (heaven) or the devil’s child (hell).

Good soil = A noble and good heart (field)



2) The meaning of the figurative field 2

: The world (church) where the believers of Jesus are gathered.

(Jesus’) field: wheat-like believers 

heavenly barn


⏵ Like it is promised in the Bible, being harvested from the field to the heavenly barn at the time of harvest is faith leading up to heaven.
