Shincheonji Church of Jesus Breaks 20 Million Views of Online Bible Seminar… "Listen to it and make a decision"

The seminar footage of the Zion Christian Mission Center, which the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Man Hee Lee, hereinafter referred to as 'Shincheonji') uploaded to the official YouTube channel twice a week since October of last year, is attracting attention with over 20 million views.

Shincheonji's seminar footages exceeded 22 million views as of July 6, and it was confirmed that the number of subscribers during the seminar increased by more than 60,000. Considering that religious lectures and seminars at YouTube do not exceed 10,000 views, this is an overwhelming number.

Among the seminar footage, Revelation chapter 1 (720,000 times), Revelation chapter 2-3 (510,000 times), and Revelation chapter 4-5 (470,000 times) showed the highest number of views in order.

It is because there is almost no education on the book of Revelation in the religious world. So, interest in the lecture of 'book of Revelation' which is an advanced level at the Zion Christian Mission Center, was high not only among believers but also pastors.

The footage of this seminar received a lot of attention, especially from domestic and foreign pastors. It is true that pastors are reluctant to attend face-to-face seminars because of the burden of receiving education from other denominations and churches. Therefore, the dominant evaluation is that the YouTube video of Shincheonji has played a big role in resolving personal spiritual hunger and curiosity about Shincheonji.

In addition, this online seminar consists of 24 lessons of elementary level, 24 lessons of intermediate level, 20 lessons of advanced level, and 5 special lectures. And instructors were Chairman Man Hee Lee, 12 tribe leaders, heads of churches, and the representative lecturers of the Zion Christian Mission Center explaining the entire Bible according to 5W1H. The content of the education of the Bible and the ability of the instructors were also noted.

Pastor Park, who has been pastoring for 40 years, listened to the lecture and said, “The great lecturers and lectures are continuing. Existing denominations can’t preach such a sermon. After listening until the end, I want to talk with them."

Pastor Kim, who listened to the lecture, said, “This word is correct. No one else will deny it. We should not just call them heresy, but listen and judge.”

Pastor Park, the head of the established church, said, “I was shocked to hear the lecture of the 1st chapter of Revelation by Chairman Lee. It was not the Shincheonji Church of Jesus that I had been hearing. I will learn the words of Shincheonji Church of Jesus properly.”

A Shincheonji official said, "Those who are not interested in religion, those who are just getting interested in the Bible, and individuals who want to learn the Word in depth take classes at the Zion Christian Mission Center, but elders, seminarians, and pastors feel burdened to register and prefer to watch YouTube lectures. After watching YouTube lectures, there are more people requesting private Bible courses or textbooks, so we’re looking for a various curriculum.”

Shincheonji Bible Education Center, more than 100,000 students took the course in the first half of this year alone. The Zion Christian Mission Center operated by the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, showed that the number of newly enrolled students exceeded 100,000 in the first half of this year.

Zion Christian Mission Center quickly switched all its curriculum and systems to online in accordance with the non-face-to-face era after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. As a result, during the pandemic, they have achieved steady growth in a non-face-to-face condition when all religion around the world experienced difficulties due to a decrease of members.

When you look at the specific number of students enrolled in the first half of this year, 91,000 students are domestic and 35,000 students are overseas, and as of the 6th, 105,000 students were enrolled. Among them, the number of seminary students and pastors enrolled in classes increased significantly compared to last year. Accordingly, it is expected that 100,000 graduates will be produced at the Zion Christian Mission Center graduation ceremony at the end of this year which is the largest in the world.

The reason for this rapid growth this year is that there are many believers increased who want to know Shincheonji properly. It is pointed out that those who have directly experienced the level of the Word of Shincheonji through various seminars on YouTube recognize the fact that it is completely different from the evaluation of the world, and an atmosphere is being formed to 'listen and judge for yourself'.

In addition, despite suffering from the COVID-19 situation in 2020, the sincere social contribution activities of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus are widespread, such as participating in group plasma donation for the development of a treatment for COVID-19 and voluntarily participating in group blood donations during the recent blood supply emergency. It is also known that it has contributed to the increase in the number of students enrolled.

Meanwhile, the online Zion Christian Mission Center operates an online Bible education curriculum and divides the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation into elementary, intermediate, and advanced courses. In addition, all courses are conducted free of charge, and group study and 1:1 curriculums are also provided after lectures.

More than 3,600 individuals and organizations at home and abroad request textbooks and dispatch of lecturers of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. 

It has been confirmed that the number of churches receiving support for Bible education materials and dispatching lecturers from Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony  has exceeded 3,000 in total at home and abroad.

According to Shincheonji, as of the 6th, there were 3,624 places where Shincheonji Church of Jesus and other churches signed an exchange MOU. Agreements on exchange between churches are concluded with individuals and organizations such as pastors, churches, and seminaries. The agreement is currently being made in 68 countries including Korea, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan.

Each church and seminary that has signed an MOU receives Shincheonji’s theology textbooks and theology instructors, and conducts various exchange activities to achieve the common purpose of the church. Shincheonji's interchurch exchange aims the purpose of interchurch exchange through the word of the Bible under the vision of "We Are One in GOD".

Shincheonji official explained the purpose of the MOU signing, saying, “The Word is God (John 1), and if we enter into the Word, we can become one with God and we can become one with each other in the Word.”

The MOU between the pastors and the churches were first started on August 28, 2021 at the 'African Pastors Online Seminar'. On this day, about 40 pastors who attended the seminar suggested to sign an MOU for the exchange the Word with Shincheonji Church of Jesus,”. And the agreement to exchange the words began in earnest.

A German pastor who is regularly attending seminars at Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “It would be good if a minister of Shincheonji Church of Jesus preached at an event held at our church. Please send instructors for my friends in Africa to lean this word."

Shincheonji said, “Since last year, an increasing number of pastors are signing MOUs on exchange between churches through online seminars that have been released on YouTube. As there are many requests for textbook and instructor dispatch, we are thoroughly preparing for this. Like the purpose of the MOU, we will create a foundation for everyone to become one in God."
