Shincheonji Volunteer Wonju Branch holds a 'Mini Field Day' with the senior citizens of the Senior Citizen Center
On the 10th (Friday), Shincheonji Volunteer Wonju Branch held a mini Field Day with the senior citizens of the senior citizen center located in Wonju. On this day, about 30 people, including local figures, seniors from senior citizens, and the Shincheonji Volunteer, attended the event. It was not easy for the members of the Senior Citizen Center to meet because of the recent floor construction of the Senior Citizen Center, but they had a good time through this field day. The Mini Field Day consisted of various programs such as tossing mini bean back, eating snacks, and singing.
Chairman of Segyeong Senior Citizen Center said, “I was frustrated because it was difficult to enter the Senior Citizen Center for several days. After hearing the contents of the event, I called each member and asked them to come. It was a very enjoyable time."
An elderly person over the age of 90 said, “I remember a field day in elementary school 80 years ago. I look forward to such a good event and Shincheonji volunteers who come once a month.”
An official from the administrative welfare center said, “Thank you for caring about the elderly in Gaeun-dong. I am grateful to the Shincheonji Volunteer for preparing something specially.”
The Shincheonji Volunteer is carrying out various social service activities, practicing love for neighbors in the community.
