▎ The Revelation Special Lecture for All Nations Growing into a Hub for Interfaith Dialogue
The ‘Revelation Special Lecture for All Nations’ which advocates interfaith dialogue and harmony, is rapidly expanding as a venue for international exchange.
The 3rd special lecture, held for four days starting on the 30th of last month, drew over 1,000 participants, including more than 440 religious leaders from 59 countries, marking the largest turnout to date.
▎ Establishing Itself as an International Education Program Focused on Revelation
The special lecture for all nations explores shared interfaith values and peace narratives through the Book of Revelation, and since its first session in 2023, the number of participating countries and religious orders has steadily grown, strengthening its position as a global exchange platform.
▎ A Meaningful Educational Experience Shared Among Global Religious Leaders
Under the theme “The Path of Understanding Led by Scripture, the Path of Peace Walked by All Religions,” leaders from Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, and other faiths joined together. They compared concepts and symbols in Revelation with their own scriptures and engaged in discussions around shared messages and peace. Participants particularly emphasized the connection between scriptural interpretation and religious practice.
▎ Competition and Appointment of Honorary Bible Instructors
The “World Religious Leaders Revelation Competition” drew 317 participants from 60 countries, with nearly half—154 individuals—achieving perfect scores.
A total of 125 participants—42 from Korea and 83 from abroad—were appointed as Honorary Bible Instructors after completing the seven-week training and examinations.
▎ Prayer Meetings, Interfaith Discussions, and Cultural Exchanges
The seminar also featured joint prayer meetings, interfaith dialogues, and cultural exchange programs, enriching the sense of unity and mutual understanding among participants.
▎ International Expansion — Notable Case from Cambodia
Ven. Sok Buntheoun of Cambodia’s Ministry of Culture and Religion shared that, after completing the 2nd seminar session, he hosted an interfaith dialogue event at a local temple, drawing 850 attendees. He also announced plans to launch a “Religious Peace Education Camp” next year to further expand interfaith collaboration.
▎ A Joint Declaration for Peace
A Buddhist participant remarked, “It is rare to directly compare and explain each other’s scriptures. This was a valuable opportunity to reduce misunderstandings between religions.”
At the closing ceremony, participants read a declaration affirming peace as the essential role of religion.
Chairman Man- Hee Lee stated, “People of faith must uphold the values of truth and peace. Through dialogue, we should reduce conflict and pave the way for solidarity.”
