The Figurative Mountain, Rock, and Idol

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Man Hee Lee) held the 15th lecture of the 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings' on the 24th. 

Lecturer Sung Kwon Baek of the Thaddeus tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus gave a lecture on Lesson 15, the figurative mountain, stone, and idol. 

Mountains, stones, and idols appear in the Bible. Sinai in the Old Testament, the stone tablets on which the Law of Moses was written, and Aaron's golden calf are representative examples. What is the true meaning of the figurative mountains, stones, and idols appearing in the prophets? Lecturer Baek said "The figurative mountain means 'organizations like churches and temples', the figurative stone means 'a shepherd who has received the word of judgment and authority to judge,' and the figurative idol means 'a false teacher, a false shepherd'. 

First, he first explained the meaning of the figurative mountain. As explained in the last lecture, spiritual soil, stones, and trees all refer to people. Lecturer Baek said, “Spiritual mountains are made of spiritual soil, stones, and wood. When there are a lot of people, we say 'a mountain of people, a sea of people' in Chinese proverb. Like this,  churches and temples, which are organizations where many people gather in the world of faith, were compared to mountains.

He continued, “There are three kinds of mountains in the prophecies: the mountain of betrayal, the mountain of destruction, and the mountain of salvation. In order to receive blessings of heaven and eternal life, we must go to Mount Zion, the tabernacle of the Testimony (Rev. 15:4-5) which is the mountain of salvation to meet God and Jesus.

He also testified about the reality of the figurative stone. According to Lecturer Back, Jesus at the First Coming is the reality of ▲the precious living stone ▲the tested stone ▲the precious cornerstone for a sure foundation ▲the stone placed in Zion. The stone of the word of Jesus judged the Scribe and the Pharisees who were the shepherd of the time.

Also, in the book of Revelation, the person who receives the white stone, that is the word of judgment from Jesus, is the one ▲ who overcomes the Nicolaitans, the group of Satan who entered the tent (Rev 2~3) ▲ who received the opened book from the angel and ate it (Rv 10) ▲ a shepherd who serves as a bowl of God's wrath and judges betrayer and destroyer with the word of testimony (Rev 16). 

Lecturer Baek added, “If there is a person who overcomes according to the Bible today, we need to find out who the overcomer is. Also, there is a stone of Satan, that is a false shepherd, we have to distinguish between the two types of stones.” 

Lastly, he explained the figurative idols. The physical idols are made with human hands, and it cannot speak, listen nor see because there is no breath of life. But, it is respected and served by men. Lecturer Baek testified that the true meaning of the spiritual idol under the guise of these characteristics is “a false shepherd who cannot lead people to salvation because it does not have the word of spiritual breath of life. But it is respected and served by people.” 

In addition, he explained the idols at the First and Second Coming and the reality of the stone that judges idols. Lecturer Baek said, “At the First Coming, Jesus, who is the shepherd receiving the authority to judge, was the reality of the stone. The Scribes and the Pharisees who did not believe in Jesus were condemned with heresy are the builders who rejected the stone. And they are idols that are false shepherds."

Also, he said “At the Second Coming of the Lord, the overcomer who has received the white stone to judge from Jesus will judge and end the organization of idols that is Babylonian and create the spiritual Israel 12 tribes, the kingdom of God. This nation is the eternal kingdom of God which is built after the judgment of idols and is the temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony where all nations will come and worship in Revelation 15 all nations will come and worship.”
