Revelation 2 What is the iron rod that Jesus gives

"Eternal authority of governance over all nations, it is compared God’s words to a rod of iron"

▎ Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony

In Revelation 2:26-27, Jesus gives a rod of iron to the one who overcomes. A rod of iron is a staff made of iron. A rod of iron symbolizes authority of governance like the scepter carried by the king.

To understand this, let's look at the time of Moses. About 3,500 years ago, Moses led the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt and ruled them by exercising various powers through his staff. Likewise, the one who overcomes in the text are said to receive an iron scepter from Jesus and rule over all nations. If Moses' staff represented temporary governance, the iron scepter in the text signifies the eternal dominion given to Jesus by God.

The ability that Moses performed in the old days was not in the staff he had, but in God who gave him the ability. Therefore, just as the word is with God, the one who have the word has power, and the one who has the word can create people's hearts and rule them with the word given by God. Therefore, in the text, the overcomer rules all nations with an iron scepter means that he will rule all nations with the word of God, not with an actual iron scepter.

God promised in Psalm 2 that he would give this iron rod to his son in the future, and according to this promise, it was Jesus who received the iron rod at his First Coming. 2000 years ago, Jesus said in John 16:33 that I have overcome the world, and that very word which I spoke will condemn you (Jn 12:48). Also, in John 17:2, he said that he had received the authority to rule over all people, and this was the word received from God in John 17:8. In this way, the authority of the iron scepter that Jesus received from God at the First Coming is the right to govern the whole world and refers to the word of God.

Let's find out who is the overcomer who receives the iron scepter from Jesus when the Book of Revelation is fulfilled at the time of the Lord's Second Coming.

This overcomer is the one who fought and defeated the group of the dragon in Revelation 13 and 12, that is, the Nicolaitans belonging to Satan. The first thing to know is that this overcomer is not Jesus. Just as God gave the authority of the iron scepter only to Jesus 2000 years ago, Jesus also gives this authority of the iron scepter to one person who overcomes. What is the iron scepter that the overcomer received as promised? This is the right to receive authority to govern and the kingship, and its reality is the wisdom and authority to rule all nations, that is, the word of revelation.

When and where should the overcomer fight and overcome? The time is the time of the Second Coming, the time of the fulfillment of Revelation. At this time, just like John the Baptist who prepared the way before the Lord 2000 years ago, the temple of the seven lamps with the seven angels who prepare the way to announce the beginning of the Lord's Second Coming will appear. Afterwards, the destroyer, Satan Nicolaitan, enters this temple of the seven lamps and the seven angels and misleads them eat food sacrificed to idols and commit fornication. Jesus chooses one shepherd and let them know that these seven angels have betrayed through a letter. And, he promised to give the authority of the iron scepter to the one who fights against Satan Nicolaitans and overcomes in the tabernacle of seven lamps.

However, in Revelation 12, the child born of the woman clothed with the sun, moon, and stars in the tabernacle of heaven is said to be the man who will rule all nations with an iron scepter, so the overcomer in Revelation 2 and the male child in Revelation 12 who will rule all nations with an iron scepter are the same person. As the word 'will' in Revelation 12, only after fighting against Satan's Nicolaitans, that is, the group of dragons in Revelation 12, and overcame them, he will receive the iron scepter to rule all the nations from Jesus, and as in Revelation 21:7, he will become the Son of God and inherit all his inheritance.

Therefore, the Nicolaitans belonging to Satan is the one that overcomer needs to overcome, and its reality is Satan's pastors, the beast with the seven heads and ten horns that is the group of the dragon who enters the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation 13 and 12 and destroys the chosen people who betrayed.

Thus, the book of Revelation records the things of betrayal, destruction, and salvation. These are the three beings promised in Revelation and the reality of the three secrets: the betrayer, the destroyer, and the savior. This secret is a secret that no one knows except the one who fought against the group of dragons and overcame and only overcomer who received an iron scepter by overcoming  can inform this secret. This overcomer receives not only the promised iron scepter, but also the hidden manna and the white stone, which are the food for eternal life. In addition, he is the promised pastor who received everything promised in Revelation 2-3. This promised pastor is a living witness who received and ate the revealed book in Chapter 10 and saw and testifies the events of the entire book of Revelation on the spot. He is the messenger of Jesus whom Jesus himself placed his hands on and sent for the churches to prove this plainly.

What is the evidence that the one who overcomes, the promised pastor of the Bible, has appeared? That is the 12 tribes. The one who overcomes testifies the fulfilled reality of Revelation as promised in the Bible, harvest, seal and create new nation and new people of God, 12 tribes as in Revelation 7 and 14. As seen in Revelation 15, the reality of these 12 tribes is the Tabernacle of Testimony built by those who fought and overcame the beast in Revelation 12 and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony where all nations will come and worship. The reason why all nations should come and worship is because God is there. The promised pastor of Shincheonji is fulfilling the work of peace like God and Jesus, mastering the Bible and conveying the word of revelation not only in Korea but also in the global village. As a result, people from all over the world are flocking to Shincheonji, the nation of peace. This is the proof that the promised pastor of Shincheonji is ruling all nations with an iron scepter as promised by Jesus.

"It is the power and authority to break the pain, disease and life problems of the saints.”

with the authority of this iron scepter, with this power and authority given to me, I break everything. It means that I defeat all diseases. I can let people healed. With this authority of iron scepter, with this power, do i have a problem? Break it down. Do you own pain? Break it up.

Are there things I need to solve? Break it down. Do you children have problem? With the authority of an iron scepter, we can break and destroy everything that approaches.

◼ Presbyterian Church B Pastor

It is about the authority of the iron scepter. How does God work with the authority of the iron scepter? I believe that God will give us the authority to break it down. It is returned by the shape of windmill, so turn together. When you do, snakes escape. (He stood up and sang spinning around)

  1. A good post - thank you. All seminars were real eye-openers. Chairman Lee is truly the promised pastor and messenger whom Jesus sent for the churches (Rev 22:8, 16). I see why many pastors, believers and those with a curiosity in Christianity are listening to the word from Shincheonji.
