The Figurative Bridegroom, Bride, Widow, and Orphan

"Today's believer, if you meet Jesus, the bridegroom who is  coming again?"

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Man Hee Lee) held the ninth lecture of the 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings' on the 10th. 

'When Jesus, who is the bridegroom, comes again, are you ready to go out with a bright lamp?' This is a verse from Hymn 162. Many believers are waiting for the bridegroom Jesus to come again. Why does the Bible describe Jesus as the bridegroom, and who is Jesus' bride? In this lecture, it is explained who the bride and groom are, when and where Jesus' wedding feast will be held, and how to participate. 

On this day, lecturer Dong Hyun Kim of the Bartholomew tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus gave a lecture under the theme of 'The figurative groom, bride, widow, and orphan'. 

Lecturer Kim first explained the physical characteristics of the bride and groom. The groom gives seeds to the bride, and the bride receives the seeds from the groom and gives birth to children. He said "The Bible says that the seed is the word, so the 'spiritual bridegroom' is the one who gives the spiritual seed (word) and who is a spirit, and the 'bride' is a flesh. 

In addition, he defined that 'spiritual marriage' is the marriage of the Spirit of God with the spirit in the body, living together with the body as a home, and giving birth to and nurturing children of the Holy Spirit. 

He also explained Hosea 2:19-20 in the Old Testament. According to the lecture, God who said 'I betroth you to me' becomes the bridegroom, and the person named 'you' becomes the bride. The word of Hosea is  prophecy and is fulfilled at the First Coming. Lecturer Kim said, “In John 17:8, God gave the word to Jesus, which is the open word of the Old Testament, meaning He gave Jesus spiritual seeds. In Matthew 3:16, the Holy Spirit of God came upon Jesus. God is the bridegroom who gives the seeds, and Jesus is the bride who receives the seeds.” 

When and where are wedding feasts held in the Bible? Lecturer Kim said, “The place where Jesus’ wedding feast takes place is the place where God and the kingdom of heaven, that departed, return  at the time of the Lord’s Second Coming. The bridegroom of the wedding feast in Revelation 19 is Jesus and the bride is the promised pastor who is a messenger and sent by Jesus for the churches today. The bride is the New John who received and ate the open word, that is the revealed book, to testify what is seen and heard to the churches after being chosen as a messenger of Jesus.

He also said how to meet Jesus, the bridegroom, at the Second Coming. Lecturer Kim said, “The Second Coming Jesus, whom we are waiting for, will come as a spirit that is invisible. We must find the bride on this earth to meet Jesus who is the groom.” 

Lecturer Kim emphasized that if you are a true bride of Jesus, you must appear as promised in the book of Revelation, New Testament. He said, “The bride of Jesus didn't study to teach the word. The bride is the one who received from Jesus and an angel, who ate the book of revelation that was opened in Revelation chapter 10, and who saw and heard (the fulfilled reality) at the scene of the events of the Book of Revelation.” 

Finally, he said, “If you do not know the words of Revelation, you cannot recognize the bride of Jesus nor Jesus who  is coming again. I hope that you put the word of the New Testament in your heart, find the bride of the Lamb as prophesied in the book of Revelation, the New Covenant, hear the word of the testimony and believe so that you can become part of the wedding feast of the kingdom of heaven.”
