"I've never seen a volunteer group with such sincerity"
Members of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, which ran "unconditionally" to the coronavirus vaccination site, are receiving rave reviews "I've never seen a volunteer group with such sincerity"
Shincheonji Volunteer Busan Western branch said on the 23rd that following April, we volunteered at the Corona 19 Vaccination Center in Saha-gu, Busan on the 21st of this month. The service was conducted at the request of the Saha-gu Volunteer Center in Busan.
Six volunteer members go to the vaccination center on every Monday to help parking, pre- and post-movement path and maintaining order. The service will continue until the end of this year. If the coronavirus outbreak caused by the Delta Pandemic is reproduced worldwide, it could be extended until next year.
Officials of Volunteer group explained that "Vaccination center always need volunteers to check the temperature of visitors, guide social distancing, assist reservation confirmation, fill out questionnaire, guide movement path and monitor abnormal reactions after vaccination. In particular, as vaccinations are operated on a reservation system, volunteers' physical strength is needed because there are ongoing reservations.
As a result, Shincheonji Volunteer Busan western branch came forward with college students and youth volunteer members who are in their 20s.
A official from Sa Ha Gu volunteer center said "I heard Yeong Do Vaccination center received a big help in April when there was a shortage of volunteer workers. So, that's why our center asked for help. I was thankful that they accepted it willingly."
Kim Jung Ran, official of Shincheonji volunteer Busan western branch, said "We agreed that there is a need for a large number of volunteers at the site of coronavirus vaccination. In the case of our volunteer group, we mainly have members who are youth and in 30-40s who have physical strength. So we were able to respond quickly to requests from medical authorities. If other location needs our help, we will be there."
Kim(29, white-collar worker) who participated in volunteer work smiled and said "It was a meaningful time for me when I helped vaccinate the elderly who has physical challenges. It cheered me up when they encouraged me saying 'Thank you for your work in hot weather.'"
My turn to get vaccine is coming in 2 weeks. I am not only looking forward but also worrying. I hope everybody is safe after getting a vaccine.
