[1] The Figurative Yeast: teaching that changes one’s heart and spirit

⏵Physical characteristics: leavening (changing)

Mt 16:6-8 Not the yeast regarding the bead, but the spiritual yeast
Mt 16:11-12 Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees = the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees

⏵ Just like yeast has the physical characteristics of leavening and changing, the word of teaching that changes our heart and spirit is figuratively referred to as the yeast.

⏵Type of spiritual yeast
- God’s yeast: God’s teaching
- Satan’s yeast: Satan’s teaching

◾ If one receives God’s yeast (teaching) through God’s pastor ⇒ their spirit is changed into God’s image and likeness and becomes the children of the kingdom of heaven. ◾ If one receives Satan’s yeast (teaching) through Satan’s pastor ⇒ their spirit is distorted into Satan’s image and likeness and becomes the children of Satan and ends up in hell.

1) God’s leaven: God’s teaching

Parable - the kingdom of heaven: Like yeast that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.
True meaning - a person who is changed by listening to the word of teaching through the true pastor and take it to his or her heart.

① The figurative woman: a pastor who changes one’s heart through the seed of god’s Word

◾ 1Cor 4:15 Apostle Paul: for in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the gospel
◾ Gal 4:19 Apostle Paul: my dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth

② The figurative yeast: the word of teaching that changes one’s heart and spirit

③ The figurative three measures (bowl) of flour: a person’s heart, saints (people of the kingdom of heaven)
 
④ Being leavened: being changed (to be reborn)

Today, when we believers meet the messenger sent by Jesus (the faithful and wise servant) and our heart and spirit are renewed through the physical fulfillment of the New Testament and the revealed Word, we can become God’s children in the kingdom of heaven.

▮ The mystery of change

◾ Mt 17 Jesus at the Mountain of transfiguration: changed in the spiritual form

◾ 1Cor1 15:51-54 the last trumpet: the dead → the imperishable

the living → be changed (glorified body)

- the living: those who listen and come out to the word when Jesus sends his messenger at the time when the last trumpet sounds, that is, at the Second Coming

Listening to the teachings of the Word does not only change the heart but also changes a person into a glorified body at the sound of the last trumpet. This is the first resurrection that is promised in the Bible and the purpose of change taught through the figurative yeast.

2) Satan’s yeast: the teaching of Satan taught with the rules of men

Lk 12:1 the yeast of the Pharisees: hypocrisy

Mk 7:6-9 Isaiah: prophesied of the hypocrites

to teach people with men’s teaching ⇨ to carry out their life of faith like hypocrites

Rv 2:14 the teaching of Balaam: the teaching of the devil given by Satan’s false pastor, teachings of men

Prov 19:27 the teaching of the devil: the instruction that will stray you from the words of knowledge

▣ Summary of Key Points

Believers should receive the good yeast of the kingdom of heaven, the word of teaching given by the true pastor who belongs to God, be changed and become the people of the kingdom of heaven.
