2) The true meaning of the figurative lampstand

the seven lamps(= the seven spirits) of fire burning before the throne
∴ The seven spirits = the seven lamps

Jesus: the seven horns + the seven eyes (the seven spirits)
∴ The seven spirits = the seven eyes

the eyes = the prophets (the pastors who understand the word of God first and preach it to the saints)
⏵ Because the spirit of God like a lampstand is with them, they are ble to perceive the word.

the appointed task of the seven spirits = the appointed task of the lampstands = the appointed task of the eyes
◾ The appointed task of the seven spirits
① the appointed task of the lampstands: the lampstand brightens the tabernacle in darkness. In the same way, the seven spirits brighten (make people perceive the word) the darkened (ignorant) hearts of people. Therefore, the spirits are referred as the lampstands.
② the appointed task of the eyes: with eyes, we can see all things. In the same way, God sends His eyes, the seven spirits, to the earth to see the spirits of people He made. Therefore, the seven spirits are referred as the eyes
- The seven spirits are the eyes, lampstands, and candlesticks.
- Those who are with the seven spirits are the eyes, lampstands, and candlesticks.
- The lamp is lit: God’s spirit is within a person.
- The lamp is put out: God’s spirit left the person.

▮ The work for the lampstand at the First Coming: John the Baptist
before Jesus worked as a true light, the lamp shone the light of the word to the peoples’ hearts that became dark for a short time (from evening to morning)
⇒ in order to attain salvation, the Jews had to find Jesus - who came as a true light - through the work of the lamp of John the Baptist and come to him.

The figurative blind person = although they read the word, they are unable to understand it.
The figurative deaf person = although they listen to the word they are unable to understand it.

the pastors of the seven stars: they don’t know they are blind (a spiritually blind person)

he who has ears to hear, let him hear (the spiritual ears, the ears to hear)

the blind and deaf = the servants of God (the Lord’s servant, the pastors)

the eye = the prophets, the entire vision = the words of the sealed book
God shut their eyes → the blind prophets
⏵ The blind leaders: they don’t understand the prophecies so they teach tradition learned by repetition.

The blind and deaf: the scribes and Pharisees, all the pastors in Jerusalem.

the leaders who became a blind = the scribes and Pharisees, all the pastors in Jerusalem.

the hardness of heart → the blind and deaf

Jesus: a blind person → they may see, those who see may become blind (judgment).
Jesus’ second coming
The blind and deaf: the pastors of the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands, the false pastors who don’t know the truth.

the seven messengers: unless they repent, Jesus will remove their lampstand
⇒ because they don’t have the spirits (the eyes), they can’t testify to the truth (the spiritual blind)
